Writing definitions

We're improving our writing and critical thinking by writing our own definitions in class. To write definitions we can: use books and dictionaries (text and pictures) and our daily life. We can only use facts and never opinions.

What is a sycamore?

Translating into Spanish is not always the best way to learn new vocabulary. Not a student knew what "sicómoro" meant- but most could recognise what sort of tree it was in the playground.
